Assistant Professor Operating Room Tech (OR Tech) /Surgical Tech (CST)

Job description:

• Coordinate clinical placements for students, ensuring a comprehensive and diverse clinical experience.
• Collaborate with clinical sites to maintain strong partnerships and enhance student learning opportunities.
• Deliver high-quality instruction in surgical technology courses, utilizing innovative teaching strategies and technologies.
• Develop and update curriculum to reflect current practices and advancements in surgical technology.
• Mentor and advise students, fostering their academic and professional growth.
• Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation processes, and ongoing program evaluations.

Qualifications:

• No teaching experience required
• Externships and preceptorships are preferred
• Outgoing go getter - Position is in the field in front of students. Clinical coordinators speak to students on sites for educational opportunities
• Teaches clinical Class of about 10 students per assistant professor in the lab
• Surgical First assist experience/certification preferred
• No On-call
• Hours full-time (flexibility is required)
