Job description:
The ideal candidate will be a mid-level associate with four or more years of experience in employment and labor law, particularly in defense litation of matters like wage & hour disputes, wrongful terminations, workplace safety and harassment, discrimination and other litigious labor & employment matters.. This role involves substantial responsibility in case management, client engagement, and will directly contribute to the global firm's reputable and boutique L&E practice.
- Litigating employment cases, representing high-end clients and provide specialized service to bespoke employers
- Taking and defending depositions, filing motions and pleadings, analyzing discovery and witnessess statements
- Managing documentation of discovery, arguments, motions and legal filings
- Handling overall case management from inception to completion.
- Reviewing and drafting workplace policies, practices, and handbooks for employers with nationwide and international operations to ensure compliance and limit liability.
- Engage with clients in an intentional and effective matter with a sophistication desired from a Big Law environment
Qualifications:
- JD degree from a reputable and top law school, with preferably some achievement or distinctions.
- Active bar admission in Missouri
- Four+ (4) years of experience in Employment & Labor litigation, representing employers and corporations.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing and analyzing workplace bylaws, handbooks and other governing documents
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with superior forensic analytical skill
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and handle full cases
