Job Summary

We is seeking a driven, skilled, multitasking machinist programmer to join a results-oriented organization. The Machinist will program, set-up, operate, monitor, and support maintenance of computer-numeric-controlled machines such as mills and vertical lathes to fabricate metal parts. Will ensure proper operation in order to produce precision parts as well as, inspect parts and assist with assembly. Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience. The part time schedule is flexible.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Program / Set-up and Operate CNC Milling and Lathe machines to produce desired parts.

Program CNC controls (Haas, Fanuc) using MasterCam

Determine set-up, and tools to complete production of parts according to specifications.

Modify machine speed, tooling and cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts.

Oversee cutting process, make adjustments throughout each job to ensure accuracy.

Perform detailed analysis of the component parts configuration/dimensions to determine the most efficient machining operations required for production

Follow inspection protocols to detect errors and catch mistakes.

Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality.

Perform regularly scheduled maintenance of machine, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement.

Work with engineering and supervisory personnel to troubleshoot and resolve design, equipment and operating difficulties.

Assemble finished product with machined parts according to blueprint specifications.

Follow all safety protocol and guidelines.

Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Educational Requirements:

CNC training at a vocational school level or above

Experience and Skill Requirements:

8+ years experience CNC operation on mill & lathe.

5+ years experience with Hass / Fanuc controls.

Proficient with programming using MasterCam.

Ability to use methodology tools, such as, Micrometer, Vernier Caliper, Height Gage, Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), etc.

Verified comfort level using tools and performing machine maintenance.

Ability to understand (M and G) codes.

Detail and precision oriented.

Values quality to uphold Company reputation for producing quality products.

Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Ability to lift 60 lbs.

Work performed in small room with normal dust, smells, and non-controlled air temperature associated with machining environments.

Requires ability to stand for more than 6 hours.

Able to wear PPE

Ability to follow detailed instructions in English.'
