Controls Engineer


Job description:

Join an engineering team dedicated to developing realtime automation solutions from the plant floor through enterprise systems. Youll leverage a broad toolsetPLC/PAC programming, HMI/SCADA design, network and database architecture, vision systems, machine safety, motion control, and highlevel software developmentto drive operational efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, program, debug, test, and commission realtime control and information solutionsCollaborate on concept development during all project lifecycle phases
Produce detailed engineering documentation (traceability matrices, case studies, project notes)
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Develop methodologies for complex problem solving and share best practices
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of learning

PLC Platforms: Beckhoff, B&R Automation, PLCNext, CODESYS, Schneider

HMI/SCADA: Beckhoff, Inductive Automation (Ignition)

Networking: Ethernet, Routing & Switching, ADS, Modbus, MQTT, OPCUA, TCP/IP

Vision Systems: Cognex, Keyence, ROS, Halcon

HighLevel Languages: IEC611313, C#, HTML5, Python, C++

Databases: MSSQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL, InfluxDB

OS: Windows10+, Linux, FreeBSD



Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related fieldor 10 years of experience
  • 13 years of hands-on experience with one or more of the technologies listed above
  • Strong proficiency in text-based programming and object-oriented design
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow established models and develop new methodologies
  • Self-starter who thrives in team environments and actively seeks learning opportunities
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently
