Reliability Engineer- Mechanical Fixed Equipment


Job description:

Currently searching for aFixed Equipment Engineer is a key role for our Pensacola, Florida location Responsibilities include: PCMS software implementation, practical application of codes and RAGAGAEP in support of maintenance and capital projects, as well as development and execution of Inspection, Testing, and Preventive Maintenance (ITPM) plans for fixed equipment. Knowledge and understanding of relief device systems is also preferred. Managing testing frequencies and utilization of RBI will be important in further developing the Pensacola Sites Mechanical Integrity Program.

The ideal candidate exhibits high standards for excellence and an ability to collaborate with maintenance, operating units and other sites within the company.

TARGETED OUTCOMES

  • Documentation of new ITPM scopes for all fixed equipment to detect probable failure modes identified through Damage Mechanism Reviews
  • Implementation of a management process for inspections, findings and funding requirements for execution recommendations
  • Develop a dashboard view of asset health for all critical fixed equipment

Ownership of the Inspection Monitoring Software- PCMS

  • Ownership of relief device inspection and testing program

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in the application of API and ASME Codes
  • Develop detailed scopes for repair of fixed equipment
  • API 579 Fitness for Service

Leadership

  • Overall ownership of fixed equipment program and reporting
  • Set strategic direction for the fixed equipment program

TEAM

  • Reports to Reliability Manager
  • Works with a team of reliability engineers, inspectors and technicians to support manufacturing

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar with related experience
  • 3 to 5 years in the chemical, petrochemical or refining industry, with three to five years of fixed equipment experience
  • A broad understanding of continuous operations in a PSM-covered chemical plant is essential

DESIRED CERTIFICATION

  • API 510, 570, 581, 653 Certifications
  • Licensed Professional Engineer

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication capabilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable ASME and API Codes, including ASME Sections I and VIII, B31.1, B31.3, API 510, 570, 576, 65
