Key Responsibilities:
- Process field data collected by survey crews and perform rigorous quality control checks.
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret survey-related CAD drawings, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and subdivision surveys.
- Perform calculations for boundary analysis, construction staking, and other survey tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D and industry software.
- Conduct closure calculations, COGO computations, and resolve discrepancies in field data.
- Review civil, architectural, and structural plans to provide technical support to field crews and project managers.
- Assist in preparing legal descriptions, plats, and exhibits as required for various project types.
- Ensure compliance with jurisdictional codes, standards, and survey regulations.
- Communicate effectively with field staff, engineers, and clients to clarify survey requirements and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in surveying, engineering, or construction-related roles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and other software such as Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, boundary analysis, coordinate geometry, and construction staking techniques.
- Familiarity with processing submittals to city, county, and public agencies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and precision in calculations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams and clients.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of California land use laws, regulations, and survey standards.
- Experience preparing legal descriptions, plats, and deliverables for public and private projects.
- Previous field experience as a survey technician or crew member is a plus.
