Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise engineering designers, including daily task assignments, quality control, and performance reviews.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure high-quality results.
  • Prepare contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and public agency personnel.
  • Prepare and process public works improvement plans, specifications, and design-build documents.
  • Lead preliminary engineering design studies, incorporating site constraints, regulatory requirements, and client objectives.
  • Ensure projects comply with California jurisdictional codes, standards, and regional procedures.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • BSCE (or equivalent) with a minimum of 6 years of public works experience (or 10 years equivalent total work experience).
  • California PE registration preferred.
  • Demonstrated independent thought, decision-making, and leadership abilities.
  • Strong experience in client and public-agency interactions.
  • Knowledge of California codes, standards, and public works procedures is highly preferred.
  • Technical experience in public works infrastructure projects, capital improvements, and design-build projects.
