Job description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage manufacturing professionals through significant contribution to their development and local expertise to ensure their autonomy.
- Coach local teams with equipment issues (troubleshooting) to ensure their continuous learning.
- Contribute root cause analysis and corrective action recommendation when inefficiencies are identified, and failures are experienced.
- Analyze the monthly and quarterly corrective actions and major losses to assist plants in prioritizing action plans to reduce and eliminate technical obstacles.
- Collaborate with plant leaders to establish and prioritize projects and/or mandates for the group's paper machines.
- Provide expertise in engineering and/or investment and/or development projects, in which you will be called upon to make recommendations.
- Introduce new technologies and/or products into the plants and collaborate on product development or substitution.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, operational gains, untapped opportunities concerning paper machines and related processes.
- Ensure that resources (chemicals, production supplies, etc.) are used correctly as a whole.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective supply markets, competitors, and product innovations; understand competition to identify threats/opportunities
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or chemical) or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to travel (between 50% of the time) supporting plants in North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin).
- Experience reading and interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout drawings, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong ability to positively influence partners and clients and guide them towards best practices.
- Willingness to gain a thorough understanding of the needs of partners and clients.
- Leadership needed to rally teams around common objectives.
- Influence required to encourage teams to adhere to standards, budgets, and timelines.
- Ability to apply your expertise and specialized knowledge to realistic approaches.
- A desire to generously share knowledge for the benefit of our partners and clients.
