The Opportunity

As Department Manager, you will take charge of a dynamic team, build and strengthen client relationships, and oversee the delivery of high-quality municipal engineering services. Youll play a key role in managing technical projects while driving business development and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of municipal engineers and technical staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal clients across Central New Jersey.
  • Oversee and review engineering plans, designs, reports, and deliverables.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction.
  • Support business development by cultivating client relationships and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to deliver integrated engineering solutions.

Qualifications:

What You Bring
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Masters a plus).
  • Active New Jersey Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • 10+ years of progressive municipal engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in municipal infrastructure projects such as water, wastewater, stormwater, and land development.
  • Proven track record of managing staff, client relationships, and departmental performance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills.
