NDT Level II Radiographer (Gamma-ray)

Job description:

Are you a Level II radiographer that's looking for professional progression? Where the business requires, my client offers company-paid training to gain other methods.

This is a role for a radiographer with gamma source certification using 'wet film'; MT and PT are also required. If you're only certified to use x-rays, then this is not for you. Other methods are desirable with advanced ones commanding a higher rate.

I have multiple positions open across the US, operating from the locations listed.

My client specializes in providing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services to customers in the oil and gas sector, as well as those in pipeline construction, manufacturing, refining, power, and infrastructure industries across the U.S. With over 20 years of inspection experience, they offer a comprehensive range of testing methods, including radiographic, ultrasonic, penetrant, and magnetic particle testing, amongst others.

They are experiencing rapid growth, an expanding customer base, and they have significant financial sponsorship to fund future growth. Now is the time to join the team, and benefit from professional and career progression opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDT inspections using RT, MT, PT, and other methods that you're certified in.
  • Interpret and evaluate test results in compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and records.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety protocols and client-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to deliver high-quality service.
  • Travel to job sites as required (regional and national).

Qualifications:

  • ASNT Level II certification in RT (gamma; welds), MT & PT (If you have only RT, you may still be considered).
  • Current State Carded or IRRSP certification (work required in radiation controlled areas).
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to work in field conditions and travel extensively.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.

Why is This a Great Opportunity:

  • Growing company in a specialized, niche market.
  • Benefit from professional and career progression opportunities.
  • Competitive benefits and long-term stability.
  • Generous medical benefits and additional ancillary benefits for employees, their dependents, and their family.
  • Good team environment.
  • Company paid holidays in accordance with the standard US calendar.
  • Typical working week: 40 - 80hrs. OT payable at x1.5 after 40 hrs.
  • Plenty of overtime on offer.
  • Opportunity to make a real impact as the team expands.
