An exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled Commercial HVAC Technician to join a reputable mechanical contracting team in Brookfield, Connecticut. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in complex commercial environmentsinstalling, maintaining, and repairing large-scale heating and cooling systems that power offices, industrial facilities, and institutional buildings.

Youll play a vital role in ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliablyall while working within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment that values technical excellence and dedication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and service commercial HVAC systems including chillers, split systems, packaged units, rooftop units, and cooling towers.
  • Perform installations and repairs on commercial heating systems (oil, propane, natural gas, and heat pumps).
  • Conduct preventive maintenanceincluding diagnostics, coil cleaning, and filter replacements.
  • Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and system optimization during site visits.
  • Read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics and construction drawings.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure timely, high-quality project completion.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service work, materials used, and client communication.
  • Uphold strict safety standards and participate in ongoing training initiatives.

Qualifications:

What Youll Need
  • 35 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • EPA Universal Certification (required).
  • S or D license (CT) preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
