Job description:
Overall responsibilities: Responsible for multiple site supervision; development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation and evaluation of nursing program activities at the WFS sites; Assists the Dean of WFS in various aspects of overall program planning and implementation; assists with special projects; supervises the Assistant Deans at designated WFS sites.
Job Responsibilities:- Plans, develops, manages, updates, and evaluates WFS programs
- Provides oversight and support to WFS Assistant Deans
- Prepares data and materials for state, Nursing Board, reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visits
- Identifies and obtains outside resources for nursing program
- Develops and implements program policies and procedures
- Organizes and serves on committees
- Oversees admission process and orientation
- Serves as liaison between workforce partners and college
- Develops and maintains clinical site partnerships
- Performs clinical site evaluations, including risk, safety, and staffing assessments
- Maintains semester-end evaluations and provides summary reports to Dean
- Ensures clinical contracts are updated and maintained
- Participates in nursing faculty recruitment, hiring, and orientation
- Facilitates faculty meetings and maintains records/minutes
- Assigns and schedules faculty to courses and clinical sites
- Monitors instruction quality; participates in reviews, evaluations, and planning
- Advises and supports potential students
- Ensures student orientation to skills lab and clinical facilities
- Verifies student completion of graduation and licensing requirements
- Participates in Nursing Advisory Committee meetings
- Participates in professional development and maintains CE hours
- Stays current on state nursing rules and regulations
- Participates in Faculty Development activities
- Assists with programmatic policy review and development
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Current active Registered Nurse license
- Doctorate in Nursing (DNP) preferred
- Master's in Nursing (MSN) required
- Minimum 8 years as registered nurse
- Minimum 5 years nursing education teaching (classroom, clinical); online preferred
- Nursing education leadership experience required
- Completed approved courses in administration, teaching, and curriculum
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
