Job description:
Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) / ALP Coordinator to oversee medical services, quality assurance, and nursing coordination within our Assisted Living Program (ALP) .
This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and resident health oversight while working closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate medical and nursing services for ALP residents
Screen, train, supervise, and evaluate Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs)
Conduct resident assessments and approve admissions based on care needs and staffing availability
Review, approve, and sign required clinical and regulatory documentation
Ensure compliance with NYS regulations, policies, and quality assurance standards
Maintain accurate resident, staff, and program records
Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and complaint resolution
Support residents, staff, and program operations across all service areas
Collaborate with the Administrator on operational planning and care delivery
Lead by example through professionalism, organization, and consistent follow-up
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator or upper management
Qualifications:
UAS experiencewould be a huge plus
Minimum age: 21 years
Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
Previous experience in home care, ALP, assisted living, or long-term care preferred
Strong leadership, supervisory, and team-building skills
Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, and evaluate staff
Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills
Computer proficiency (Word, spreadsheets, electronic records)
Highly organized with strong time-management skills
Ability to exercise sound judgment while considering client rights and regulatory requirements
Professional demeanor when interacting with residents, families, staff, regulators, and the community
