A well-established, growth-focused civil engineering firm is seeking a seasoned Municipal Project Manager to serve as a trusted advisor and technical leader for municipal clients across Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys blending technical expertise, client representation, and strategic growth.
This is more than project management. It is community stewardship through engineering.
What Youll Lead
- Serve as Township or Borough Engineer, acting as primary or supporting municipal consultant
- Attend and actively participate in municipal meetings as a representative of the client
- Manage and review subdivision and land development plans for ordinance compliance
- Oversee stormwater management design, grading reviews, detention basin rehabilitation, and infrastructure upgrades
- Administer MS-4 Programs, including PRPs, on behalf of municipal clients
- Support Act 167 compliance and watershed-based planning initiatives
- Guide public works design and infrastructure rehabilitation projects
Assist with state and local permitting processes - Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering evaluations
- Provide construction administration, including contract oversight, coordination, budgeting, and escrow account management
Qualifications:
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania required
- 15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience preferred
- Strong background in municipal engineering and direct client representation
- Experience with subdivision and land development reviews, zoning, grading, and stormwater management
- Familiarity with MS-4 program administration and regulatory compliance
- Experience in public works infrastructure and rehabilitation projects
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Business development experience and/or established municipal relationships strongly preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
