An industry-leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Department Manager to lead a high-performing structural engineering team and drive major transportation, infrastructure, and public works projects across Pennsylvania and beyond. Qualifications:

What Youll Bring

  • B.S. in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in PA required; NJ PE preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience
  • Proven background working with local and state agencies
  • Experience with PennDOT or Turnpike projects is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated success developing client relationships and winning new work
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and business development abilities
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a track record of meeting contractual and financial requirements
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred)
  • Knowledge of structural design software, including PennDOT systems

What Youll Lead & Deliver

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Structural Engineers and Designers
  • Oversee design and analysis of bridges, culverts, buildings, and diverse infrastructure assets
  • Secure, plan, manage, and monitor local, county, and state bridge projectsincluding permitting
  • Conduct and manage bridge inspections
  • Prepare compelling and efficient project proposals
  • Provide construction support services including contract administration, project coordination, permitting, and budget management
  • Maintain strong financial oversight of division projects, ensuring compliance with utilization, profitability, and budgetary objectives
  • Drive strategic growth of the Corporate Structural Engineering Discipline
  • Represent the company in professional and civic organizations (ASCE, NSPE, Chamber, etc.)
  • Strengthen and expand client relationships
