Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Evaluation & Treatment Planning:Assess residents' speech and language needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Activity Selection:Design activities that help residents improve independence in their daily activities.
- Progress Monitoring:Observe and assess resident performance, adjusting treatments as necessary, and preparing detailed progress reports.
- Rehabilitation Support:Assist in the rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions.
- Maintain a Safe Environment:Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff.
- Confidentiality:Maintain resident confidence by ensuring the secure handling of confidential information.
- Documentation:Keep accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress, auditing department records as necessary.
- Team Collaboration:Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative and supportive team environment.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
- Licensing: Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist License.
- Experience: Prior experience is preferred, but not required.
