Job description:
RESPONSIBILITIESLead day-to-day accounting operations across multiple legal entities
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare and consolidate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
Ensure full compliance with GAAP and applicable state and federal regulations
Establish and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures
Partner with external CPAs on tax filings, audits, and year-end reporting
Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and consolidations
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while improving workflows and efficiency
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Support leadership with financial modeling, strategic planning, and ad hoc analysis
Oversee AP, AR, payroll coordination, and general ledger functions
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTSBachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
Required: Proven experience managing accounting for multi-unit restaurant / QSR / fast food operations
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting
Proficiency in restaurant accounting systems and advanced Excel
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
PREFERRED EXPERIENCEBackground in privately held or family-owned restaurant businesses
Experience supporting multi-location operations
Exposure to growth environments, acquisitions, or entity expansion
