Job description:
Duties/Activities:
- Will manage environmental compliance related tasks, programs and plants.
- Will inspectfacilities, track audits and follow up with corrective action.
- Monitoring environmental compliance, i.e, permits, licenses, applications and records to ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
- Identifying compliance issues and developing corrective action plans, act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems regarding production, quality and work problems as appropriate.
- Compliance inspections- determine the nature of code violations and actions to be taken, develop corrective course of action.
- Provides technical support to internal customers related to environmental projects, processes audits and compliance. Provide compliance training to internal customers, offer guidance and support to improve competency and commitment.
- Ensure policies/procedures for the general operation of the business unit's compliance programs.
- Responsibleformaintaining Intellex Program and producing monthly updates.
Qualifications:
Must have a BS in Environmental Science or related field (technical).4-7 yrs experience minimum in poultry or meat/protein.Must have 40CFR, Wastewater license, knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory requirements, Management experience is not a necessity. Occasional travel.
