Location: Atlanta, GA (Office/Remote Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $90,000 $130,000 (Commensurate with experience)

Are you a high-level accounting professional ready to take the reins of a growing financial department? A premier Atlanta-based Commercial General Contractor is seeking a dedicated, full-charge Controller to join our administrative leadership team.
In this role, you wont just be crunching numbers; you will be building and managing the engine that powers our company's growth. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the "construction DNA" necessary to navigate the complexities of job costing, audits, and cash forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
As the Controller, you will hold full-charge bookkeeping and financial responsibility for the firms general and administrative functions, including:
Financial Leadership: Manage AP/AR, collections, banking, and monthly reconciliations.
Reporting & Analysis: Produce accurate periodic financial statements for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Operations: Oversee payroll, job audits, and project close-out processes.
Treasury Management: Manage daily cash position reporting and provide accurate cash forecasting.
Departmental Oversight: Build, mentor, and manage the accounting team and administrative functions of the company.
Qualifications:
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA designation is highly desired.
Industry Experience: 5+ years of financial management/Controller experience, specifically within the Construction/General Contracting industry.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery of large-scale ERP systems (e.g., Sage 100, CMiC, Viewpoint, or Procore) and advanced Excel skills.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage direct reports and the confidence to run an accounting department independently.
Soft Skills: Strong time management, superior oral/written communication, and a "take ownership" mentality.
