Job description:
Heavy Equipment Installation & Yard Technician
Location: Suffolk, Virginia
Salary Range: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented technician with strong mechanical
aptitude to install excavator and wheel loader attachments, safely
handle heavy machinery, and maintain an organized equipment yard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install couplers and thumbs, perform hydraulic connections, and
execute related welding tasks.
- Load/unload transport trucks and safely maneuver heavy equipment to
maintain an orderly yard.
- Conduct equipment inspections, including Pre-Delivery Inspections
(PDIs), and accurately complete required documentation.
- Perform finishing work, including swapping parts, applying touch-up
paint, and installing decals.
Qualifications:
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Proven experience with hydraulic systems and welding relevant to
heavy equipment and attachments.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver heavy machinery while
strictly following safety protocols.
- Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including
lifting, climbing, standing, and bending.
