Job description:
Senior Technical Account Manager supporting strategic Paper & Pulp customers throughout Wisconsin. This is a high-level technical sales/service role responsible for serving as the trusted advisor to key accounts, optimizing customer operations through specialty chemistries, solving complex process issues, and driving long-term account retention and growth. *Must be a US Citizen
- Act as the primary technical advisor for assigned paper mill accounts
- Build trusted customer relationships at multiple levels
- Perform on-site technical evaluations and testing
- Optimize customer processes using our chemistries
- Resolve technical issues and minimize production disruptions
- Partner with District Sales Managers on strategic account plans
- Lead technical business reviews and quantify customer value
- Coordinate with Sales, R&D, Portfolio Management, and Service teams
- Provide customer feedback to Product Management and R&D
- Maintain consistent customer presence to improve retention and profitability
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of relevant Paper & Pulp experience is preferred.
- The hiring manager may consider someone with less than three years if the candidate has strong technical exposure, confidence, maturity, curiosity, and clear customer-facing potential.
- More experience is helpful, but the right personality and long-term potential are more important than simply finding someone with ten years of sales experience.
- Tissue experience is especially attractive because the major Green Bay customer produces significant tissue volume.
- A degree in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, or a related discipline is preferred but should not automatically eliminate an otherwise strong candidate.
