Senior Supply Chain Manager
Location: Highland Park, IL on-site five days per weekSalary: US$120-190K plus bonus and excellent benefits package
About the Opportunity
Our client is a dynamic, family-owned wine and spirits business with a fast-growing portfolio of premium brands and an established international presence.
This is a senior operational role with responsibility for optimising the end-to-end supply chain, spanning procurement, production, inventory, forecasting, logistics and distribution. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, you will lead key supply chain initiatives, manage direct reports and work closely with Finance, Sales and Operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs and support continued business growth.
Role & Responsibilities
As Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will take ownership of key aspects of the company's supply chain, helping build scalable processes and ensuring operational continuity as the brand portfolio continues to grow. Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and implementing end-to-end supply chain strategies across procurement, production, inventory and distribution Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service levels and cost performance across existing and new brands Managing and developing direct reports, supporting performance and building a strong supply chain function Leading cross-functional projects and programmes, establishing clear plans, milestones, risks and deliverables Using data analytics to identify opportunities and drive measurable operational improvements Improving demand forecasting, stock management and replenishment strategies to maintain appropriate inventory levels Managing supplier and vendor relationships, including ongoing price negotiations and service benchmarking Working closely with Finance, Sales and Operations to improve processes and resolve operational challenges Identifying and mitigating supply chain and logistics risks to maintain continuity of supply Developing and improving KPI reporting, providing clear visibility of performance, milestones and risks Overseeing the R&D and procurement of raw materials Ensuring supply chain processes meet relevant legal and contractual requirements Supporting the Vice President of Operations with vendor contracts Supporting and driving NetSuite process implementation and optimisation across the operation Identifying gaps across people, processes and systems and implementing practical solutions
Qualifications:
Key Requirements
You will be an experienced supply chain professional and people manager with a strong track record of improving complex supply chain operations within a fast-paced consumer products environment. Essential skills and experience include:
5+ years' supply chain management experience, preferably within alcohol, beverages, CPG or a related consumer products environment Proven people management experience, including responsibility for direct reports Extensive hands-on NetSuite knowledge across supply chain modules, automation and reporting NetSuite implementation experience is essential Strong experience across procurement, production, inventory, demand forecasting, replenishment, logistics and distribution Demonstrable success in process optimisation, continuous improvement and cost reduction Advanced Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables and macros Strong experience using data and KPI reporting to support operational and commercial decision-making Proven supplier/vendor management and negotiation skills, including pricing and service benchmarking Strong project and programme management capabilities with the ability to coordinate multiple cross-functional initiatives Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate operational and supply chain risks Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different levels of an organisation
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business or a related discipline Experience with broader ERP integrations would be advantageous Willingness to travel to production facilities and suppliers as required
